What is tempered/toughened glass?
Tempered glass is one of two kinds of safety glass, is manufactured
through a process of extreme heating and rapid cooling, making it
harder than the normal annealed glass, and it doesn't break into
sharp shards when it fails. The brittle nature of tempered glass
causes it to shatter into small oval-shaped pebbles when broken,
which ellimates the danger of sharp edges, and any cutting or
grinding must be done prior to tempering.
What can you benefit from our tempered /toughened glass?
- 4 or 5 times stronger than normal annealed glass, easy to install
- Glass is certified for Australian, American and British standards
- Special shapes are available, so are the holes and notches, CNC
polished is available too
- Heat soaked is also available
Edge finish and cutting options of our tempered /toughened glass?
We are able to supply the tempered glass with various kinds of edge
finishes, and cutting shapes also, the cut-outs and notches can be
polished too by CNC machine.
What are the sizes and thickness of our tempered/ toughened glass?
Maximum size: normally 2440*3660mm. but the length can be up to
12000mm with glass thicker than 12mm
Thickness: for single substrate: from 3mm to 25mm
For laminated ones: from 6mm (3+3mm) to 57mm (19+19+19mm)
The thickness depends on diffrerent applications, please contact us
for your bespoke projects.
Glass of choices: normal clear, low iron, tinted glass etc.
What are the applications of our tempered/toughened glass?
As a result of its safety and strength, tempered/toughened glass is
used in a variety of demanding applications, including
- Windows and doors
- Interiror and exterior panels
- Entrances and doors
- Shower and bath enclosures
- Handrails and railings
- Furniture like table tops etc.
We use sealed plywood crates to pack the cast glass, which is free
from fumigation. and together wrapped by protective film. For LCL
shipment, will use A frame and stainless steel bending to fasten the crate,
max load of each crate is 850-900KG.
